AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST(AFCAT) Exam Details 
AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test. This test is conducted by the Indian Air Force for selection of officers in all branches of the IAF (except medical and dental) viz. Flying Branch (Short Service Commission only), Technical Branch (Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission) and Ground Duty Branch (Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission). AFCAT is conducted twice a year (in the month of February and August). The advertisement for the same is published in the months of December and June respectively.
Applications are invited from Male and Female from Indian citizens as per Citizenship Act 1955 for the following courses commencing in January 2018 for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent/Short Service Commission in Technical and Ground Duty branches

Eligibility Criteria:
1) Flying Branch ( 203/18F/SSC/M&W Courses) 
Age: 20 to 24 years as on 01st January, 2018 (born between 02nd January, 1994 to 01st Jan, 1998) both dates inclusive.
Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (Indian) is relaxable upto 26 years (born between 02nd Jan, 1992 to 01st Jan, 1998) both dates inclusive
Educational Qualifications: Graduates (minimum 3 years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level or B.E./B.Tech degree (4 year course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together 
Candidates who have failed the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) in an earlier attempt or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy will not be eligible to apply
2) Ground Duty (Technical Branch)(202/18T/PC/M Courses) and (202/18T/SSC/M &W) 
Age: 20 to 26 years as on 01st Jan 2018(born between 02nd Jan 1992 to 01st Jan, 1998) both dates inclusive
Educational Qualifications: Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L): Candidates applying for AE (L) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate membership examination of the institute of electronics and telecommunication engineers by actual studies 
All candidates applying for AE (L) branch should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together
Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE (M): Candidates applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies
All candidates applying for AE (M) branch should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together
3) Ground Duty Branch (Non -Technical Branch) (202/18G/PC/M and 202/18G/SSC/M & W Courses)
Age: 20 to 26 years as on 01 January 2018 i.e. (born between 02nd Jan 1992 to 01st Jan, 1998) both dates inclusive
Administration and Logistics: Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or a Pass Graduate Degree / equivalent Diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers
Accounts: Graduate Degree in Commerce (B.Com) (Minimum three year degree course) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com) / CA/ICWA with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together
Education: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together

While filling online application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available, as details are to be filled as per matriculation and other educational certificates. Please save your recent colour passport size photograph (size 10 to 250 kb) in the computer for attaching to your online application form

The entrance for Central Defense Services comprises of a Written Exam followed by and Intelligence and Personality Test. The details follow:

General (but important) instructions about written examination
  • The papers in all the subjects will consist of Objective (multiple choice answer) Type questions only.
  • SI units will be used in the papers and Candidates should use only International form of Indian numerals (i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc.) while answering question papers.
  • Commission have discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all the subjects of the examination.
  • Candidates are not permitted to use calculators for answering objective type papers (Test Booklets). They should not, therefore, bring the same inside the Examination Hall.

Interview
  • The Union Public Service Commission will declare a qualified list of candidates (based on the written exam).
  • The selected candidates will appear before a Services Selection Board for Intelligence and Personality Test.
  • The total maximum marks for the interview will be 200 for OTA and 300 for IMA, Naval and Air Force.
  • Candidates for the Air Force wing and Naval Aviation will also undergo a Pilot Aptitude Test.
Two Stage Selection Procedure
  • Two stage selection procedure will be based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test.
  • All the candidates will be put to stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres.
  • Only those candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage.
  • Those candidates who qualify stage II will be required to submit the original Certificates along with one photocopy each of :
    • Original Matriculation pass certificate or equivalent in support of date of birth
    • Bachelors Degree alongwith mark sheets in support of educational qualification
  • For final qualification, candidates should secure the minimum qualifying marks separately in (i) Written examination and (ii) SSB test as fixed by the Commission in their discretion.
  • Qualified candidates will then be placed in the final order of merit on the basis of total marks secured by them in the Written examination and the Services Selection Board Tests.
  • The final selection for admission will be made in order of merit depending on the number of vacancies in each wing.
  • The selection will be subject to medical fitness and suitability in all other respects.

UPSC CAPF 2017 – Notification, Application Form, Eligibility
The Union Public Service Commission has issued an advertisement inviting applications from eligible candidates for CAPF Assistant Commandant Posts. There are nearly 270 vacant positions according to the Latest Employment News. Candidates who have completed Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University are eligible to apply. Suitable Aspirants who are interested in Army Jobs or Central Government Jobs can apply for these posts in online mode before the last date. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the Written Test, Physical Endurance Test and Personal Interview conducted by the officials of UPSC.

The UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Exam consists of the following features:
